Haggai 1:5-6 " Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider your ways! You have sown much, but harvest little, you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied, you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk, you put on clothing, but there is none warm enough, and he who earns, earns wages to put in a purse with holes."
What`s on my mind? That "void" or "sense of emptiness" we all experience from time to time. My brother, my sister, know this; when the sense of emptiness comes upon you it always holds great significance. So much so, that as conveyed in the above passage, upon its arrival, it will more than likely encompass every area of your life. What I mean is that nothing will satisfy you.
The intent or purpose of this pervasive sense of emptiness is to lead us into deeper self-reflection, whereby, we should arrive at a truer and more devoted life. This is why, in the above passage, God adamantly tells the one experiencing the "void" to "Consider your ways!" Lets go deeper. The quality of life is really determined not so much on what you are doing, but WHO you are being while your doing what you are doing. Oh yeah, "Who you are being" right now has the strongest impact on your life, You feel me? My brothers and sisters, consider your ways! Amen
