"We are fully committed to helping people examine and strengthen their relationship with God, which is essential for victorious living. Strong determination spawned from biblical truth will clearly reveal good and vividly expose evil. Our vision is to help people grasp the undeniable truth and wisdom within godly standards that challenge godless perspectives. Changing perspectives this way will enable people to see themselves through the eyes of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
How This Began
In part, my sense of mission comes from tearfully and at times angrily watching and studying how moral decay, corruption and deceit combine. They weave a strong web. Witnessing the power of doubt and confusion, subtly and avidly nibbling away at Christian values disturb me deeply. Such nibbling isn`t coincidental, its strategic and exposing it is a part of Spirit Of Truth Ministries assignment. You see, some victims are seduced unknowingly until trapped, and sometimes totally incapacitated. Others seasaw back and forth, wondering and wandering about everyone, everything, everywhere. Some have come to me so traumatized, and seemed to find soothing relief, only when denouncing their prior belief in God. Although in the strictest of confidence, occasionally, a few clergy have said that even though they would never doubt God`s existence, the depth and strength of the evil web causes then to doubt God`s sovereignty. In secrecy, through eyes and words of despair they ask, "Elder, how do you retain such strong faith?"
The meaning of emptiness is often misunderstood, covered up and at times denied in ways which practically nullify spiritual growth. Thinking God has abandoned them, many turn inward examining themselves, asking. "What`s wrong, what have I done? Why can`t I feel or sense Gods presence anymore?" They cry, "Oh Lord, you know that I am hurting! Why do you remain silent?" And so, it is these types of prayerful observations that feed my sense of mission. The sense of urgency is real, very real, but, I`ve learned not to reach too quickly for conclusions when dealing with someone else`s pain. Yes, truly we need to hear God afresh throughout the journey. Initially my sense of mission was ignited when I heard God speak the following ten words to me. "Do not be afraid of what you shall see, come."
Over two decades ago God spoke these ten words to Vander in a way that changed his life forever. Upon hearing those words whispered, with a sudden burst of speed he found himself obediently coming out of darkness and entering a new existence. He says, "Don`t get me wrong, I am not defining a vague superficial religious profession, nor, respectfully, am I talking about joining a church or a certain denomination. NO, I`m referring to entering into a process through which truth, love, and a wisdom filled consciousness emerges." Scripture describes this as entering into his marvelous light. Such experience obviously means to personally encounter the Holy One, observe and subsequently embark on a process through which a experiential knowledge harmoniously jells with scripture. This takes one beyond traditional concepts of God. Therefore such experiential encounters very from culture to culture. Its essential that we don`t put God in a box. This speaks volumes. For me, my experiences are grounded in Scripture, but because God`s ways are higher than ours I personally think it would be wrong to believe that God would limit how he approaches humankind.
Their are those who doubt the authenticity of Scripture, some, even scholarly historians argue that because the bible was written by humans and because humans make mistakes the bible can`t be trusted. Others base similar arguments on the absence of historical writings from 1st to the 4th century in reference to Jesus Christ. However, the bible is not a history book even though it`s filled with historical facts. The bible was written over the course of 1550 years, in three different languages by forty authors on three different continents. Some go as far as describing Christianity as a copycat religion.
Despite such positions, others have rightly stated that from Genesis to Revelation there is absolute harmony, a undeniable continuity which emphatically confirms its origin: GOD. The bible was written by God. This is difficult for many to accept. You see, the real difference between belief and knowledge for believers is that the believers belief is saturated by experiential knowledge of the revelation, presence, and guidance of God. It is this kind of first-hand knowledge of God that has kept and continues to keep me. The bible is true because living according to what it teaches has never failed me personally.
Scripture records, " Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things we also speak, not in the words which man`s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual; But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."
Once more, experiential knowledge is gained by having a personal encounter with the Holy One, or perhaps one of his angelic messengers, without which, biblical truth will seem foolish to many. They seemed foolish to me until God spoke those ten words to me.
